New York State stocks over 3.5 million salmonids annually into Lake Ontario and its tributaries. Whether you want to catch lake trout, brown trout, steelheads, Coho salmon, or the giant Chinook (king) salmon you will have a great day on Lake Ontario.

Our customers often catch the largest fresh water fish of their life. Lake Trout average over 10 lbs. and 20 lb Lakers are not uncommon. Steelheads and Coho salmon range from 5 - 20 lbs. Brown trout average 8-9 lbs, and when the Chinook (king) salmon stage for their run up the River they average 25 - 30 lbs. We supply all rods, reels, lures, equipment, and a large cooler on board for your catch. We will fillet and bag your catch at the end of the day.

Our 34' Bay liner or our 27' sport craft are very comfortable and made for Great Lakes fishing with a roomy 10 ' beam. It has all the equipment for Great Lakes fishing including 4 Downriggers, Lawrence fish finder and GPS, Fish Hawk temperature probe, and matched rods and reels for your fishing enjoyment. We also have a cabin and private head for your comfort and convenience. The captain's are licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and the boat is fully insured.

The marina is a hub of activity boasting world class fishing, state-of-the-art recreational boating facilities, and unrivaled natural beauty. It is the home of the Lake Ontario Trout and Salmon Association's Pen Rearing Project for the last five years. The marina is just four miles downstream from the famous Burt dam, a destination of many national and international fishing enthusiasts.

The fish you can catch while fishing in Lake Ontario reads like a who's who of freshwater fish known for fighting hard battles, making deep dives and exhibiting dazzling displays of strength. The trophy fish and the perennial favorites include coho salmon, chinook (king) salmon, rainbow trout, smallmouth bass and walleye. Possibly less sought after but no less challenging to catch are brook trout, brown trout, burbot (codfish), lake sturgeon and freshwater drum.

Lake Ontario is home to several notable fishing records. With six world records, numerous state and line class records, the lake has earned a spot on every angler's "Got to fish there" list. Record fish caught on Lake Ontario include a 47-inch, 46.4-lb. chinook salmon, a 42-inch, 28.6-lb. coho salmon and a 69-inch, 168-lb. lake sturgeon.

Fishing in Lake Ontario requires a license for both residents and non-residents from the State of New York. Licenses are available in a variety of levels ranging from one day, seven day, annual and sportsman for residents. Non-residents fishing in Lake Ontario from New York range from one and seven day licenses to annual and Super Sportsman licenses. New York State promotes families, friends and anglers of all levels together for a great day of fishing on Lake Ontario.

Lake Ontario fishing takes you in many directions to find fish, and its shores and basins have a range that includes include New York, Pennsylvania and Ontario. Two major Canadian cities, Hamilton and Toronto, are also located on Lake Ontario's shores. The average depth of 283 feet makes Lake Ontario four times larger in volume than the Lake Erie. The sheer immensity of Lake Ontario means weather patterns can change quickly.
